MetiLinx provides an easy to install solution for
data synchronization and replication across the heterogeneous
databases. Changes to multiple databases can be identically
sequenced to all databases, regardless of whether
those databases are in different rooms, different
states or even different countries.
Multiple applications can send non-synchronized
SQL commands (WRITE, UPDATE and DELETE) to modify
multiple heterogeneous databases. These SQL statements
are collected and placed into a queue. As an entry
comes to the top of the queue, it is sent to all
configured databases. The next entry in the queue
is not released until the previous change has been
completed on every database (or a failure alert is
sent back).
If a database does crash, the MetiLinx Replication
Technology will record a log of the missed SQL statements.
Once the database server is again available, the database
administrator can quickly re-synch by executing the
missed data changes.
